Tips for Creative Party Entertainment

I have always loved throwing a great party. However, unlike many people, I enjoy planning the parties even more than I do hosting them and mixing and mingling with my guests. While I enjoy decorating and preparing food to serve my guests, my favorite aspect of a party to plan is the entertainment. I have hired DJs, live bands, and even magicians. While many people think that magicians are just for children's parties, I have a favorite magician who never fails to entertain my group of adult friends. I love party planning so much that I decided to create a blog to share my party planning tips on with a focus on party entertainment!

Three Additional Options To Offer When Hiring Out Your DJs

Andre Butler

At weddings, clubs, pop-up parties, and other events, DJs (disk jockeys) are often the most popular people in the entire room. People will want to dance near the DJ booth, enjoy the energy of the DJ, or ask the DJ to play their favorite song. If you are running a DJ entertainment company that matches customers with a DJ for their event, there are some extra services that you can offer to increase business and entertainment. Here are a few things to offer in conjunction with your DJ services to make your business grow.

Connections to recording artists

For some parties, having live entertainment will really pump up the crowd. Along with the DJ, the people throwing the party may be interested in having a major recording artist or a local recording artist come to their party. Make connections with record labels in the industry, and offer a service to put people into contact with their favorite artist. Then you can help party throwers book their favorite musicians and artists to make an appearance at their parties and other events.

Strobe lighting

For people throwing a party at their home, purchasing strobe lighting for a one-time deal can be a hard task. As an entertainment company, strobe lighting and flood lights are something that you will need more often. Purchase strobe lighting and floodlights that will work in exterior and interior venues. Being able to provide and set up lighting will be well worth the contract cost for customers who are looking to decrease the amount of work it takes to throw a party. Be sure to have someone else on hand to help the DJ with the music equipment and strobe lighting before and after the party.

Waiters and bartending services

Finding those who will be willing to serve food and drinks at parties for extra income now and then will be easy for an entertainment company, especially in a large city. Create a list of waiters and bartenders who are willing to work at parties and offer waiting services and bartending services as a part of the contract for your clients. The waiters and bartenders can be paid a flat rate per night from your company, as well as tips from party goers. Be sure to have the hosts of the party specify the type of event, venue, and clothing that is necessary to wear for those who will be serving.
