Tips for Creative Party Entertainment

I have always loved throwing a great party. However, unlike many people, I enjoy planning the parties even more than I do hosting them and mixing and mingling with my guests. While I enjoy decorating and preparing food to serve my guests, my favorite aspect of a party to plan is the entertainment. I have hired DJs, live bands, and even magicians. While many people think that magicians are just for children's parties, I have a favorite magician who never fails to entertain my group of adult friends. I love party planning so much that I decided to create a blog to share my party planning tips on with a focus on party entertainment!

What To Do Before You Officially Get Your First Tattoo

Andre Butler

Have you thought about getting your first tattoo? You may have a few different design ideas in mind that you'd love to have inked on your body. However, it's important to understand that selecting the right tattoo parlor to go to and selecting the right tattoo artist to complete the work on your body is extremely important. It's the best way to ensure that you'll be satisfied with the finished piece.

Start Checking Out Various Tattoo Parlors

If there are quite a few tattoo parlors in your area, it's good to check them out and read reviews on them before you decide where you're going to go to get your first tattoo. For starters, you'll want to make sure the parlor is clean and clearly kept up with by employees. All supplies should be kept out of reach of clients and should be in sterile packages to keep them from being contaminated. If a shop doesn't look clean on the inside and you feel like safety practices may not be followed, simply move on to the next place.

Look at Portfolios of Different Artists

It's important to choose a clean shop where the rules are followed and safety is important to all the artists, but it's just as important to find a tattoo artist who excels at what he or she does. Some artists specialize in different methods of tattooing. For example, there are people who love to do traditional American tattoos while there are others who are exceptional at new school or Japanese style tattoos. The artist you choose should be someone who will be able to draw out the perfect piece for you before inking it on your body.

Talk Over Your Options

Once you find the perfect artist at the tattoo parlor to do the tattoo on your body, you should spend some time talking about what you want. Be as descriptive as possible so that the artist can envision the details that you're explaining and then draw them out for you. You'll get to see the stencil drawing prior to having it placed on your body and then permanently inked on. Make sure you're discussing color options and providing plenty of commentaries while the artist creates your drawing because this is something you're getting on your body. It should be something you'll love for a lifetime.

You may be ready to get your first tattoo. Instead of rushing into it and going to the first place you can find, check out the different parlors and find an artist who can draw out something that's just right for you. To learn more, contact a tattoo parlor like The Ink Lab.
