Tips for Creative Party Entertainment

I have always loved throwing a great party. However, unlike many people, I enjoy planning the parties even more than I do hosting them and mixing and mingling with my guests. While I enjoy decorating and preparing food to serve my guests, my favorite aspect of a party to plan is the entertainment. I have hired DJs, live bands, and even magicians. While many people think that magicians are just for children's parties, I have a favorite magician who never fails to entertain my group of adult friends. I love party planning so much that I decided to create a blog to share my party planning tips on with a focus on party entertainment!

Satellite TV V. Cable TV

Andre Butler

Ultimately, satellite and cable television are very similar today. They both offer the most popular channels, and they both offer similar quality picture. When you're looking to supply your hotel with television for you customers, how do you choose the option that's best for the hotel and the customers? Here are some differences to help you make an educated decision.

Satellite Pros and Cons

PROS

Satellite TV has roughly five times the amount of channels that cable television offers. If you need specialized programming or programming from different parts of the world, satellite television will be your best option. If your hotel has a lot of guests from foreign countries, for example, they will have more options with satellite. You will also have more channels available in HD and 4K.

Satellite television is also available in more places. Some rural areas don't have the ability to get the same cable service that is offered in nearby metropolitan areas. Luckily, satellite can be used virtually anywhere with a clear signal.

CONS

Unfortunately, adverse weather can cause service disruption with satellite tv. You may need to remove snow that's interfering with your signal or wait for the heavy rains to die down. You may even need to wait for a technician to arrive if you can't get to the satellite. This can mean going days without service. It's not just bad weather that can cause the problem, either. Birds, wind, trees, mountains, and a number of other things can potentially interrupt your favorite shows.

Satellite service also requires more in-depth installation and a higher installation fee because of the satellite that needs to be installed.

Cable Pros and Cons

PROS

Cable television is much easier to install than satellite television. Most homes are already cable-ready. In most cases, you simply need to set up service with your provider and plug in a set-top box per television. After that, you are good to go! In most cases, you can set up cable television services yourself without a technician.

Cable television may also give you the opportunity to bundle services to get an even better deal than you anticipated! Ask about internet and phone services for the internet as well.

CONS

Cable service generally costs more monthly. The cable lines require a lot of maintenance, and this is reflected in your monthly bill. You simply get less channels for more money. However, if you don't need very many channels, a small cable option might be ideal for you.

You also won't have the same level of programming offered by satellite. Satellite offers more in terms of sports, international programming, and high definition programming. Contact a service, like ProTVSolutions, for more help.
