I have always loved throwing a great party. However, unlike many people, I enjoy planning the parties even more than I do hosting them and mixing and mingling with my guests. While I enjoy decorating and preparing food to serve my guests, my favorite aspect of a party to plan is the entertainment. I have hired DJs, live bands, and even magicians. While many people think that magicians are just for children's parties, I have a favorite magician who never fails to entertain my group of adult friends. I love party planning so much that I decided to create a blog to share my party planning tips on with a focus on party entertainment!
Have you felt like you've watched everything there is to watch on TV, and now you're looking to find that next binge-worthy show? If so, it helps to have a few tips to help narrow down a show to settle down on.
Pick a Classic
While you may be looking for the latest and greatest show to watch, sometimes it is best to go back and watch something that you may have missed from years ago. There are plenty of classic TV sitcoms and dramas that may have been well before your time because they were popular when you were a kid, and all you cared about at the time was cartoons. A classic show that is critically acclaimed is always a great choice.
Pick a Show with Plenty of Seasons
Sometimes it is a good idea to judge a show based on how long it has continued. After all, bad shows are not typically renewed year after year. By picking a show that has existed for a long time, you'll have dozens of hours of TV ready to watch for the foreseeable future. It's also possible that the show has wrapped and you know it will have a satisfying conclusion rather than be cut short unexpectedly.
Pick a Show with a Favorite Actor, Producer, or Writer
It may be easier to get into a show when you are familiar with one of the actors. Thankfully, it is very easy to explore the shows out there by searching the name of an actor to see what else they have been in. you may even discover an early show that they were on that you missed in the past.
The same logic applies to producers and writers of TV shows that you love. They likely make new content in very similar ways, which could be the same style of humor or a way that they build suspense. You'd be surprised at what shows are out there from the same producers or writers because you likely do not pay much attention to the credits on TV shows.
Pick a Show with Great Reviews
You can always go online and seek out a show that is getting a lot of good reviews. Famous review sites now have TV show reviews. This can be a great way to expose yourself to something new that you've never even heard of before. Try out websites like Pastemagazine.com to find reviews for some shows before you binge them.
