Tips for Creative Party Entertainment

I have always loved throwing a great party. However, unlike many people, I enjoy planning the parties even more than I do hosting them and mixing and mingling with my guests. While I enjoy decorating and preparing food to serve my guests, my favorite aspect of a party to plan is the entertainment. I have hired DJs, live bands, and even magicians. While many people think that magicians are just for children's parties, I have a favorite magician who never fails to entertain my group of adult friends. I love party planning so much that I decided to create a blog to share my party planning tips on with a focus on party entertainment!

Three Reasons To Take A Family Trip To An Observation Deck

Andre Butler

Large cities offer a seemingly endless variety of family activities that can appeal to you and your children. While it's fun to visit zoos, city parks, and museums, you should also consider what other opportunities are available in any area that you visit. In many cities, you'll find tall buildings that have observation decks on one or more upper floors. For a small fee, you and your children can ride an elevator up to the deck and enjoy a 360-degree view of the city around you. If you haven't previously visited an observation deck as a family, this can be something to add to your vacation to-do list for the following reasons.

Ability To Identify Sights

It can be fun to schedule an observation deck visit after you've spent some time enjoying other attractions around the city. When you and your children are on the deck and able to see much of the city, you'll enjoy working together to identify various sights that you previously visited from the ground. For example, if you visited a museum or a sporting event earlier in your visit, you can look around until you find either of these venues. Older kids, especially, can be skilled at the challenge of identifying various sights from this elevated and unique vantage point, which can make for a fun and unique experience.

Less Fear Of Heights

Some kids have a fear of heights, which can be an issue that you may want to help them work through. Being in an environment that is high off the ground can help your children to be less afraid of heights, especially when they're in an area that is perfectly safe. An observation deck certainly fits this description. While your kids might initially feel tentative to approach the windows, they'll eventually realize that there's nothing to fear. This high environment may help them to feel less nervous when they're high off the ground in the future.

A Unique Selfie Spot

Being on a tall building's observation deck provides your family with a unique selfie spot. While you might enjoy snapping selfies at various attractions on your vacation, there's no venue that will give you the unique selfie background of being on an observation deck. A family selfie from an elevated point over the city can make for an eye-catching photo that you'll be eager to share with your extended family and post on social media. Look online to find this and other family activities in the area that you're planning to visit.
